Time for a brand new LP; Frontier! This is the sequel to my favourite game of all time, and somehow I’ve never played it before; it’s a deep, open-ended space opera, and I’m very excited to finally give it a whirl! This time I take a quick trip out, demonstrate the very basic gameplay and get used to the controls.
Here it is, a super-sized video for the grand finale! Spoiler alert; we wind up finding the big bad of the game. And we get a combat situation where I actually need to thinking about what I’m doing, and use cover to move forward! If only they’d tried such things in the rest of the game…
Let’s play corridor, the game! No, really; in a video approaching 30 minutes, roughly 25 is spent getting from one end of a corridor to the other. Well OK, I did pop into a side room to talk to a computer once, where I overdose on plot holes. Mass Effect, the only game yet to actually start ripping my psyche to shreds. Please make it stop soon? Please?
A real comedy of errors this time! A double length, graphically weird part with a lot of running round in circles, all courtesy of your friendly local games programmer. Yay! Ah well, at least some stuff gets shot.
I’m doubly sorry; first for keeping you waiting for 3 weeks, and second for only having this crappy video at the end. In this utterly pointless part of the game, We’re forced to go to the Citadel, and then we leave the Citadel. Along the way, we do some shopping! On the plus side, the next video may well involved wanton destruction on a large scale, so fingers crossed!
